Court hearing in former SJC chief's case set for Nov. 23

Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Court has scheduled a hearing in the case of Ruben Vardazaryan, a former chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) overseeing Armenian courts, for 23 November.

Vardazaryan shared on Facebook a copy of the court hearing notice sent to him on Monday.

He was suspended as SJC chairman after being charged with obstruction of justice in April 2021.

Vardazaryan was formally relieved of his duties on June 23 this year.
