Armenia to host European Weightlifting Championships for first time

Armenia will host the 2023 European Weightlifting Championships for the first time in April.

The opening ceremony of the championships will be held at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex in Yerevan on April 14. The competitions are scheduled for April 15-23, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports said.

The European Championships are a qualification event for the 2024 Summer Olympics.
