Yerevan court extends army general's arrest

The Anti-Corruption Court in Yerevan on Monday extended the pre-trial arrest of Major-General Grigory Khachaturov for another three months.

His lawyer Hakob Yenokyan told reporters the defense would make a statement after receiving a copy of the court order.

Khachaturov, the former commander of the Armenian army’s Third Corps, has been charged with money laundering through real estate. He was arrested on March 16.
