Yerevan court fines opposition blogger Mikayel Badalyan

A first instance court in Yerevan has fined opposition blogger Mikayel Badalyan 300,000 for making a false report of terrorism.

The court issued the ruling on Tuesday.

“We totally disagree with the court ruling and will challenge it in the appellate court,” his lawyer Erik Aleksanyan wrote on Facebook.

Badalyan was arrested on 24 May last year and was released on a bail of 6 million drams two months later due to health issues.
