Prosecutors ask court to approve ex-Artsakh security chief's arrest

Prosecutors have asked a first instance court in Artsakh to approve the pre-trial arrest of Major-General

Vitaly Balasanyan, a former secretary of the Artsakh Security Council, his lawyer Rafayel Martirosyan told Panorama.am on Monday.

The court hearing on the motion was set for 11։30am.

Balasanyan was arrested after law enforcement officers raided his home in Askeran late on 13 July. He is accused of violence against a government official.
