13 patients transferred from blockaded Artsakh to Armenia

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has facilitated the evacuation of 13 severely ill patients from blockaded Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to Armenia, the Artsakh Ministry of Health reported.

The patients were transported to specialized medical facilities in Armenia along with their attendants on Tuesday, the ministry said in a statement.

Five other patients who have completed their treatment in Armenia are expected to return home later today.

26 children are undergoing treatment in the Arevik Medical Center. 7 of them remain in neonatal and intensive care.

91 adult patients, including 3 critically ill, are hospitalized in the Republican Medical Center.

The people of Artsakh have been living under Azerbaijan's unlawful blockade for nine months now.
