Armenian army ready to repel any aggression, MP says

Any aggression against Armenia’s sovereign territory gets adequate response, Hakob Arshakyan, a deputy parliament speaker, said on Thursday.

He reaffirmed the Armenian government’s commitment to the peace agenda and expressed the hope that Azerbaijan would take insufficient steps towards the signing of a peace treaty with Armenia.

“We will proceed with it and in the event of an attack on Armenia, our military is ready to repel any aggression,” Arshakyan told reporters.

Also, he reiterated that Armenia was ready for the unblocking of transport links with full respect to its sovereignty and legislation.
