As many as 300 delegates from 50 countries are expected to attend the upcoming autumn meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Yerevan, the Armenian parliament said on Saturday.
The meeting will take place at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex in the Armenian capital on 18-20 November.
Featuring a Parliamentary Conference being held under the theme “OSCE in Times of Crisis: Role of the PA in Responding to Internal and External Challenges” and a Mediterranean Forum, the autumn meeting will address issues including the OSCE’s role in an era of conflict, corruption as a fundamental threat to peace and security, and protecting minorities, OSCE PA said earlier.
One of three statutory meetings that the OSCE PA holds every year, the meeting serves as an opportunity for parliamentarians to debate issues related to OSCE principles and values. The meeting will feature speeches by high-level officials from Armenia and the OSCE, as well as experts from academia, civil society and other international organizations.
