Azeri FM reports positive results in peace process with Armenia

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov positively assesses the progress in negotiations with Armenia on a bilateral peace treaty.

"The peace process with Armenia yielded certain positive results at the end of 2023. They were achieved as a result of direct contacts between Baku and Yerevan," he told a press conference on Thursday.

Bayramov expressed hope for more direct talks with Armenia in 2024.

"In the meantime, we are working on a peace treaty. In particular, we have presented our package of proposals to Armenia," the foreign minister added.
