David Khudatyan to be named Armavir governor

The mayor of the town of Armavir, David Khudatyan, is to be installed as governor of Armenia’s Armavir Province.

His appointment will be approved at a cabinet meeting on Thursday.

Khudatyan will replace Edward Hovhannisyan who was dismissed as Armavir governor by the government decision on January 5.

He has been the mayor of Armavir and the chairman of the Armavir Regional Board of the ruling Civil Contract Party since 2018.
