Powerful cyclone brings heavy snow to parts of Armenia

A powerful cyclone has delivered heavy rain and snow across Armenia.

Shirak, Lori and Gegharkunik Provinces, as well as some parts of Tavush, Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Vayots Dzor and Syunik Provinces have been blanketed in a thick layer of snow, the meteorological service said.

A brief pause in precipitation is expected on Wednesday afternoon before a new Mediterranean cyclone hits the country on Thursday.
