New Mediterranean cyclone hits Armenia

A powerful Mediterranean cyclone has swept across Armenia, bringing rain and snow on Friday and Saturday.

Heavy precipitation is forecast for some parts of the country, the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center reports.

Snowfall is expected in Shirak, Lori, Tavush, Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Vayots Dzor and Gegharkunik Provinces.

The cyclone is also set to deliver thunderstorms, strong winds and blizzard conditions to some regions.
