Yerevan Conservatory head replaced

Tsovinar Movsisyan was installed as caretaker rector of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory on 13 June pending the election of a new head, the institution reported on Thursday.

She replaced Sona Hovhannisyan who headed the Yerevan Conservatory from May 2019.

ArmLur reported earlier that Hovhannisyan had no plans to run for a second term in office.

“My term in office is drawing to a close. I’ve held the office in tough times and now I badly want to fully re-engage in creative activity,” she said.
