Azerbaijan resettles 3,000 people in occupied Stepanakert

Azerbaijani authorities have resettled 3,000 people in Stepanakert, the capital of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) occupied after the Azeri attack and the full exodus of its indigenous Armenian population in September 2023.

Elchin Yusubov, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's special envoy in Stepanakert, announced the figures on Monday, Azerbaijani media reported.

According to him, they are "employees of state institutions operating here and business persons".
