Lightning causes fire in Armenian forest

Lightning caused a small fire in Armenia’s Khosrov Forest State Reserve on Sunday.

The Rescue Service of Armenia’s Interior Ministry said a tree in the forest caught fire after a lightning strike.

Its emergency response team put out the fire at 5։46pm.

The tree, a juniper, was partially burnt due to the fire.

The Khosrov Reserve employees and a worker of FPWC Armenia also joined the firefighting efforts.
