Almaty Open: Khachanov advances to semi-finals

Russian-Armenian Karen Khachanov, the No 3 seed, won against Kazakh wildcard Beibit Zhukayev 6-2, 6-4 to advance to the last four of the Almaty Open at Almaty Arena on Friday afternoon, Tennis Majors reported.

Khachanov, ranked No 26, will face Australian Aleksandar Vukic next.

He beat Finn Otto Virtanen (7-6 (2), 7-6 (3)) ahead of his victory.
