Prosecutors seek seizure of ex-Armenian MP's assets

The Armenian Prosecutor General's Office seeks to confiscate expensive property and other assets of former senior opposition MP Mikayel Melkumyan.

Prosecutors have asked the Anti-Corruption Court to allow the forfeiture of 17 properties, shares in a company and some 315 billion drams from the former lawmaker and his associates, accusing him of illicit enrichment.

Melkumyan formerly served as deputy speaker of Armenia's National Assembly.
