Azerbaijan skips military wrestling championships in Yerevan

Azerbaijan will not participate in the 37th World Military Wrestling Championships in Armenia, Colonel Arman Davtyan announced.

The championships are scheduled to be held at Yerevan's Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex on November 20-24.

At a press conference on Tuesday, Davtyan said Azerbaijan's team had not applied for participation in the event and had not arrived in Armenia.

The tournament is expected to bring together athletes from 24 countries.
