Enough with the essays

"It is not Ruben Vardanyan who is being tried and tortured in Baku; it is the entire Armenian nation being humiliated…"

"Our enemy is not a Turk, but a Turkified Armenian."

And countless similar posts on social media. I don’t understand: is this the result of faulty reasoning or emotional impulse? Didn’t they teach you in school that there is an “and”, an “also”? When they told you that you could choose, did they mean you could pick only one option? How can you choose one of two evils and ignore the other, which is just as significant, if not more so?

Would a Turkified Armenian be an enemy if there were no Turkish enemy? Where is your logic?

Couldn’t you have thought of the option "our enemies are both Turks and Turkified Armenians"? Have you been told that you can have only one enemy?

Or how can you downplay the human suffering just for the sake of a "nice essay"? What do you mean by saying "it is not Ruben Vardanyan who is being tried and tortured in Baku"? No, it is Ruben Vardanyan who is being tortured and tried in Baku. If you want to expand on this tragedy, do so, but don’t deny the truth. Use "and" and "also".

Where does this obsession with writing essays come from? It lacks any substance. And with this way of thinking, you still demand “consolidation”?
