U.S. reportedly plans to move military equipment from Germany to training grounds in Armenia

The United States plans to transfer hundreds of pieces of equipment and vehicles from its bases in Germany to training grounds in Armenia, according to documents obtained by RT. The transfer is expected to be carried out through Georgia. A military expert suggests that this operation could be linked to potential joint exercises between the Pentagon and the Armenian military. Experts warn that such cooperation with a country hosting Russian military bases could be viewed as Washington’s attempt to expand its military presence in Armenia.

According to the U.S. government procurement portal, the U.S. Army Materiel Command plans to transport equipment from the military base in Dülmen, Germany, to the Zar base in Armenia.

The transfer is scheduled to begin on July 16 and is expected to last until August 7. The return to Germany, as stated in the transportation services contract, is planned between August 21 and September 20, 2025.

The contract also includes the transportation of equipment from the Armavir training ground in Armenia to the Poti port in Georgia.

A total of 151 pieces of equipment are expected to be transferred, including vehicles, generators and specialized containers.
