Armenia-Turkey border checkpoint to open for 10 days

The Armenian government has announced that the Margara checkpoint on the Armenia-Turkey border will be opened from 21–31 March in order to transport shipments of humanitarian aid to Syria.

The decision came after a series of meetings between Armenian and Syrian officials, the government reported.

It would "enable the swift and cost-effective delivery of humanitarian aid to Syria".
