Artsakh ombudsman: Peace cannot be built on violated rights of 150,000 people

Building peace on the violated rights of 150,000 people “is ineffective, unjust and unattainable”, Artsakh Human Rights Defender Gegham Stepanyan claims.

In a video released by Artsakh TV on Tuesday, Stepanyan emphasized that "renouncing one's own rights under the guise of unrealistic concessions is unacceptable."

He also announced a rally scheduled for March 29 in Yerevan’s Liberty Square, aimed at defending the rights of displaced Artsakh Armenians.

"We must stand together, reaffirm our desire to return to our homeland, and demand that Armenia and the international community take appropriate steps to restore our violated rights," Stepanyan added.
