Special report reveals issues in personal data protection in Armenia

The human rights defender's monitoring has revealed several issues in personal data protection in Armenia, highlighting the absence of effective mechanisms for their resolution.

Recognizing the importance of the issue and the need for immediate action, Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan has released a special report titled "Systemic Issues in Personal Data Protection in the Republic of Armenia”.

The report includes findings from the ombudsperson’s monitoring efforts in 2024, outlining key issues and offering recommendations for their resolution.

“The Human Rights Defender highlights the urgent need for the government to take immediate measures to guarantee the protection of personal data in line with international and domestic legal standards,” her office said.
