Armenian parliament speaker issues statement on MP's resignation

Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan has issued a statement regarding the resignation of pro-government MP Vilen Gabrielyan.

According to Article 155.1 of the constitutional law on the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, MP Vilen Gabrielyan submitted his resignation on April 1, 2025.

Per Article 155.2, if he does not withdraw his resignation within a week of its publication, the speaker will formalize and publish the resignation protocol, marking it as officially accepted.
