Ambulance crash leaves one dead in Yerevan

A traffic accident involving an ambulance in Yerevan left one person dead early on Tuesday morning.

The accident occurred near the Gortsaranayin Metro Station at around 5:40 a.m. A Toyota-brand ambulance crashed into a metal utility pole under unclear circumstances, Shamshyan.com reported.

The ambulance driver, a doctor and a nurse were injured in the crash and taken to the hospital, where one of them later died without regaining consciousness.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the crash and are working to identify the individuals involved.
