Ex-MP accuses Public TV host of promoting hatred against Artsakh Armenians

Former MP Armen Yeghiazaryan has lambasted Public TV host Petros Ghazaryan for what he describes as the promotion of hate speech and national division.

"Last night, I watched Petros interview Artsakh Human Rights Defender Gegham Stepanyan on the Public TV. While many are already familiar with Petros’s character, it was simply disgusting to see him use public airtime to spread hatred and divide the nation," Yeghiazaryan wrote on social media on Tuesday.

He accused Ghazaryan of distorting Stepanyan’s comments through manipulations.

"Feigning ignorance, he twisted Gegham's remarks through manipulations, drawing a line between the Artsakh people and Armenians. Petros was using taxpayer money to pursue an anti-national agenda and promote hate speech on state television,” the former MP stated.

"An Artsakhtsi is an Armenian. Anyone who claims otherwise is not Armenian," Yeghiazaryan added.
