Armenian parliament majority passes bill to extend income declaration deadline

Lawmakers from Armenia's ruling Civil Contract party on Monday approved a bill in its first reading to amend Armenia’s Tax Code, extending the income declaration deadline from May 1 to November 1 for this year and the next. The bill passed with 63 votes in favor.

The new measure seeks to shift the annual deadline for submitting income declarations, originally set for May 1, to November 1 for 2024 and 2025.

The opposition Hayastan faction voted against the measure, while the Pativ Unem faction abstained.

According to the bill, starting from 2026, the deadline for submitting income declarations will be set to June 1. However, declarations may not be submitted earlier than March 1 of any given year.

Parliament is scheduled to review the bill in its second reading on April 22.
