Husband of Anna Hakobyan's hairdresser promoted

On May 8, Justice Minister Srbuhi Galyan signed an order appointing Robert Tamaryan as the new head of the Hospital for Convicts Penitentiary Institution. Previously, Tamaryan served as the deputy head of the same facility. 

While such an appointment might have otherwise gone unnoticed, it has drawn attention due to Tamaryan’s personal connection to Anna Hakobyan, the wife of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Tamaryan is the husband of Anush Melkonyan, Hakobyan’s personal hairdresser.

On Sunday, Melkonyan shared an Instagram video of Anna Hakobyan making a heart gesture from a Kapan hotel window, apparently directed at the hairdresser who was accompanying Hakobyan during her visit to Syunik.
