Armenia invited to attend European Political Community meeting in Albania
The sixth meeting of the European Political Community (EPC) will be held in Tirana, Albania, on May 16, bringing together leaders from 44 European countries.
From the South Caucasus region, Georgia and Azerbaijan have already confirmed that they have received invitations. Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced his intention to attend the summit a few days ago. Azerbaijan, however, has yet to confirm its participation.
Armenia has remained silent on the matter until now.
When contacted by Panorama.am, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan confirmed that Armenia had been invited to the meeting.
"Armenia has received an invitation and values its engagement in this platform," Badalyan said.
Asked for clarification on whether Yerevan has confirmed its participation, Badalyan responded: "We will share further details later."
The previous EPC summit was held in Budapest in November 2024. Armenia was represented by Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
