President: Georgia seeks end of Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict

Georgia is interested in the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili has said.

Speaking on Imedi TV, Kavelashvili emphasized Georgia’s role as a stakeholder in regional peace, Sputnik Georgia reported.

"A conflict has emerged between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the region and Georgia is one of the parties most invested in seeing it resolved," he stated. "I would like to express my gratitude to the governments of both countries for their willingness to work toward ending the conflict."

The Georgian leader highlighted that peace and stability are vital not only for Armenia and Azerbaijan but for the entire South Caucasus region. " It opens up opportunities for all three countries," he added.
