New Armenian police chief named

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has appointed Aram Ghazaryan as new Chief of Police and Deputy Interior Minister.

Ghazaryan is replacing Aram Hovhannisyan, who was relieved of his duties and dismissed from the police service on Monday.

Prior to the appointment, Ghazaryan served as governor of Lori Province.
