Аrtsakh athlete wins Kyokushin Karate Championship, dedicates victory to fallen father

On June 8, the Armenian national team, including young athletes from Artsakh, competed at the International Kyokushin Karate Championship held in Tbilisi. The team delivered strong performances and secured impressive results.

Among the medalists was 9-year-old Sergey from Artsakh, who claimed the first place in his category. He dedicated his victory to the memory of his father, Rafik Harutyunyan, a fallen hero who died during the hostilities on September 19, 2023.

According to Aparaj, the success of the athletes highlights the strong presence of Kyokushin karate in Armenia and Artsakh, with high hopes for future achievements.
