Opposition faction reaffirms support for Pashinyan's impeachment

In a brief interview with Yerkir.am, Seyran Ohanyan, head of the opposition Hayastan faction, commented on recent political developments in Armenia.

– Mr. Ohanyan, the Pativ Unem faction has announced the launch of impeachment proceedings against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. What is the position of the Hayastan faction?

– Yes, we acknowledge that, following a call by the Executive Body of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), the Pativ Unem faction has initiated an impeachment process by nominating Davit Hambardzumyan as their candidate, assuming full political responsibility for the move.

In line with our previously stated position, the Hayastan faction reaffirms its readiness to provide the necessary 28 signatures within reasonable timeframes to officially launch the impeachment process in the National Assembly. We remain open to further discussions with our colleagues from the Pativ Unem faction on the matter.
