Armen Charchyan's criminal case concludes after four years

Professor Armen Charchyan’s criminal case has officially come to an end after four years, his attorney Erik Aleksanyan reported.

“The Court of Cassation has rejected the prosecutor general’s appeal for further review. This means the suspended prison sentence previously handed down to Armen Charchyan remains in force. Charchyan, an exceptional human being and life-saving physician, will not face imprisonment," he wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.

Earlier, Dr. Charchyan expressed deep gratitude to those who supported him during the legal battle, including his family, whom he praised for enduring the ordeal with resilience.

“I will never forget my 11-year-old daughter's tears when she learned her father had been detained. And I will never forgive it,” he remarked.
