Opposition MP: Pashinyan following Pashazade's order

Opposition MP Hayk Mamijanyan has accused Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of following public instructions issued by Allahshukur Pashazade, Grand Mufti of the Caucasus.

“Hardly a day passes before Pashinyan carries out Pashazade's public public order,” Mamijanyan told reporters on Wednesday, referring to Pashinyan's campaign against the Armenian Apostolic Church.

Mamijanyan, who heads the Pativ Unem faction, made the remarks outside the Avan and Nor Nork District Court in Yerevan, where he had come to express support for prominent businessman and philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan.

According to Mamijanyan, Pashinyan is not only using law enforcement to neutralize political opponents but also to target patriotic and influential individuals who have made "a meaningful contribution to the country".

“Anyone who can hinder the fulfillment of Aliyev’s and Erdoğan’s demands becomes a target. Pashinyan despises anything national,” Mamijanyan added.
