A criminal case has been initiated following the vandalism of the vehicle belonging to opposition MP Garnik Danielyan. According to Armenia's Investigative Committee, the case has been launched under Article 44-254 (Part 2, Clause 3) of the Criminal Code, which pertains to attempted theft.
The incident involved the smashing of the car’s side windows and mirrors. Speaking to journalists on Thursday, the MP suggested the act may be politically motivated, citing a previous, still-unsolved attempt to set his car on fire.
“The culprits must be held accountable. If the authorities fail to act, we will take matters into our own hands. There are cameras everywhere – if they want to find the culprits, they can,” he said.
