Archbishop Arshak Khachatryan could also face prosecution

Authorities are considering launching criminal proceedings against Archbishop Arshak Khachatryan following the prosecution of two other senior clerics, Pastinfo reports, citing its sources.

For two days now, Pastinfo has been seeking clarification from the Prosecutor General’s Office over  the existence of such a case. However, officials have so far declined to provide a clear response. On Friday, the office refused to make any comments and suggested submitting a written inquiry today.

“The Prosecutor’s Office itself appears to be waiting to see what instructions it will receive,” the media outlet said.

Notably, an informal verbal denial was given to the same inquiry on Friday.
