Justice minister: Constitutional Reform Council to convene within two weeks
Justice Minister Srbuhi Galyan has announced that a meeting of the Constitutional Reform Council is expected to take place within the next two weeks to hold a public discussion on proposed changes to Armenia’s constitution.
“The process is currently in the drafting stage and we plan to convene a council meeting in the next two weeks to hold a public debate,” Galyan said at a press briefing on Thursday.
According to the minister, the upcoming session will primarily focus on the ideological underpinnings of the constitutional changes. “Once we reach the necessary decisions through council consensus, we will proceed with refining the draft text and finalizing the process,” she added.
Galyan highlighted that Armenia’s Declaration of Independence will also be addressed at the meeting.
