Golden Apricot: 'Anora' film discussion to be held in Yerevan with Karren Karagulian and Vache Tovmasyan
Armenian actors Karren Karagulian and Vache Tovmasyan will visit Armenia for a special discussion on Anora as part of the Golden Apricot International Film Festival.
At a press conference on Wednesday, the festival’s artistic director, Karen Avetisyan, announced that the event would spotlight the film and include an in-person appearance by both actors.
“There’s significant interest in Anora, especially regarding the involvement of Armenian actors. We’ve decided to bring the conversation to Yerevan and host a live discussion, where both praise and criticism can be shared openly,” he said.
Film director Sean Baker will join the debate via a video link as he is unable to travel to Yerevan due to personal reasons.
The 22nd edition of the Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival will be held from July 13 to 20. This year’s festival will feature a diverse selection of competitive films from around the world, including entries from Cannes, Berlin, Venice and other leading film festivals. Prominent figures from the global film industry will also attend the festival, sharing their experience and artistry with Armenian cinema lovers.
