Narek Karapetyan: Armenian Diaspora reconnecting with reality in Armenia

Narek Karapetyan, First Vice President of the Tashir Group of Companies, has reacted to ANCA Executive Director Aram Hamparian's statement condemning the prosecution of businessman and philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan, who is his uncle.

“Bad leaders excessively punish those who get things wrong. But it's the really toxic leaders who torment those who do things right. Like Pashinyan's punishing Samvel Karapetyan – one of the most generous philanthropists, largest employers, and biggest taxpayers in Armenia. Attacked, not for his sins, but rather his virtues,” Hamparian had said.

In a Facebook post on Friday, Narek Karapetyan hailed the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) as one of the most influential Armenian organizations in the U.S., highlighting its pivotal role in advancing Armenian interests.

“The U.S. recognition of the Armenian Genocide is the result of decades of ANCA's dedicated work,” he wrote.

“The Armenian Diaspora is reconnecting with the reality in Armenia,” Karapetyan added.
