Deputy FM: Russia ready to contribute to Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization
Russia is ready to contribute to the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin has announced.
In an interview with Izvestia on Friday, he emphasized that the primary directions were outlined in the trilateral agreements signed by the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan in 2020 and 2022.
“We believe it's essential to move forward in these directions – preparing a peace treaty, unblocking economic and transport links in the region, delimiting and subsequently demarcating the borders and fostering dialogue between the civil societies and parliaments of Armenia and Azerbaijan. Naturally, as a party to the trilateral agreements, Russia remains ready to continue contributing to their implementation in a format acceptable to both sides,” Galuzin stated.
