ARF Armenia leader: Each blow only makes us stronger

Opposition MP and ARF Armenia leader Ishkhan Saghatelyan delivered opening remarks at the ARF Youth and Student Pan-Armenian 12th Camp near the Nemesis Memorial in Yerevan on Tuesday.

The event brought together nearly 400 young Armenians from 17 countries, a turnout Saghatelyan described as “significant and symbolic” amid the challenges facing Armenia and the Armenian nation.

Saghatelyan emphasized the deeper message behind the event, calling it a direct response to various attempts to weaken the Armenia-Diaspora connection.

“This gathering is a response to all those who have done everything to undermine the Armenia-Diaspora ties in recent years, denying young Diaspora Armenians entry into Armenia,” he said.

“This is a response to those who think that the unlawful detentions of young ARF activists can prevent us from fighting for the collective rights of the Armenian people.

“This is a response to those who believe that by persecuting us, they can hold us back in our struggle, failing to understand that each blow only makes us stronger, more resolute and more committed to achieving our national goals.”

Saghatelyan also praised the resolve of young people both in Armenia and the Diaspora.

“This is a response to those who claim that the Armenian youth has accepted defeat and that the Diaspora is indifferent to the fate of the homeland,” he added.
