Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council, on Thursday held a telephone conversation with Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.
Grigoryan expressed condolences over the casualties from the recent 12-day Iran-Israel war and wished a swift recovery to the injured, his office reported.
The two officials discussed key issues on the Armenia-Iran bilateral cooperation agenda. Grigoryan reaffirmed Armenia’s position on unblocking regional transport links, emphasizing respect for territorial integrity, sovereignty and jurisdiction. Ahmadian reiterated Iran’s support for Armenia’s stance.
They also discussed recent regional developments and underscored the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region.
