FlyOne Yerevan-Chisinau flight makes emergency landing due to malfunction

A FlyOne flight from Yerevan to Chisinau was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after takeoff due to a technical malfunction on Wednesday.

Lilit Aghabekyan, a spokesperson for Armenia’s Civil Aviation Committee, told Panorama.am that the aircraft returned to the airport after encountering the issue. According to Sputnik Moldova, the crew circled over Armenian airspace for nearly two hours to burn fuel before landing safely.

FlyOne confirmed the incident, stating that the landing followed standard safety protocols after the fault was detected.

Some passengers required medical assistance due to stress. Over 150 travelers are currently awaiting further updates. The rescheduled flight was tentatively planned for 3pm.
