Around 500 athletes arrive in Armenia for U16 European Volleyball Championship

The U16 Boys’ European Volleyball Championship is set to kick off in Yerevan on July 23, bringing together nearly 500 young athletes from 16 countries, the Armenian Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports reports.

Armenia's national U16 team includes Arman Davtyan, Gor Grigoryan, Khachatur Khnkoyan, Davit Muradyan, Rafael Shakhnazaryan, Armen Manukyan, Alex Asmaryan, Hamlet Vardanyan, Tigran Hakobyan, Hayk Gabrielyan, Arman Vardanyan, Robert Hovhannisyan, Hovhannes Avagyan and Alex Hunanyan.

On the first day of the tournament, Team Armenia will face Greece at the Gazprom Armenia Educational-Sport Complex. The match is scheduled to begin at 5:30pm.
