Archbishop responds to Armenia's health minister from detention

Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, the leader of the Holy Struggle movement, responded to Armenia’s Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan in a message from his detention facility on Saturday.

Galstanyan slammed Avanesyan's "absurd" decision to take legal action against him for "insulting the public", calling her "the queen of farce".

He urged the minister to first address lingering concerns about Armenia’s COVID-19 response under her and her predecessor’s leadership.

“I would recommend she read something beyond Facebook posts, perhaps my book "The Healthcare System of Armenia: Past, Present and Perspectives (Biomedical, Ethical and Theological View)". If she can’t find a copy, Concordia University in Montreal certainly has one listed on Google,” Galstanyan wrote.

“You will inevitably face judgment because victory has no alternative,” he stressed.

The archbishop cautioned against slander and foolishness quoting from the Book of Sirach.
