A massive fire broke out at the roof of a poultry factory located in Getamej, a village in Armenia’s Kotayk Province, on Wednesday morning, the Rescue Service reported.
The fire was reported to the National Center for Crisis Management at 10:06 a.m.
In response, five firefighting units from both regional and Yerevan rescue departments were dispatched to the scene. Rapid response teams from the Crisis Management Center, including operational and medical personnel, also arrived on-site to assist.
Eyewitnesses reported that thick smoke and flames from the blaze were visible from several kilometers away.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
