At the annual ambassadors’ meeting in Kapan on Monday, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan highlighted the government’s top priority of securing peace, stability and prosperity for citizens through sustained implementation of the regional peace agenda.
Reviewing the results of the August 8 talks in Washington, Mirzoyan stressed the significance of the preliminary peace agreement with Azerbaijan, describing it as a turning point for Armenia and the region. He presented Armenia’s foreign policy vision under the new circumstances, pointing to emerging opportunities and the practical steps required to realize them, the Foreign Ministry reported.
Mirzoyan also emphasized the prospects offered by unblocking regional transport links and integrating Armenia into expanding international communication routes. He underlined that upcoming efforts will focus on bringing the recently signed Washington trilateral declaration into force.
