Nairi Sargsyan, head of the I Am Armenia civic and political initiative, has announced that the group will run in Armenia’s 2026 parliamentary elections as part of an alliance.
At a press conference on Monday, Sargsyan said their main goal is the removal of the current government.
“We are ready to collaborate with all individuals and groups whose programs, ideas and values align with our own, and whose primary objective is the ouster of the ruling regime that has brought calamity upon Armenia and is essentially planting bombs under the country every day,” he said.
Sargsyan underlined that the initiative is not pro-Russian or pro-Western, insisting its only priority is Armenia’s national interests. He added that while the group will not become a political party and envisions Armenia’s recovery through a professional, technocratic government.
The initiative plans to unveil its political program and potential leadership team soon.
