Armenia announces lineup for World Weightlifting Championships

The Armenian Weightlifting Federation has unveiled its roster for the 2025 IWF World Weightlifting Championships, which will take place in Førde, Norway, from October 2-11.

The Armenian men’s team includes Garnik Cholakyan (60 kg), Gor Sahakyan (71 kg), Suren Grigoryan (88 kg), Simon Martirosyan (110 kg), Garik Karapetyan (110 kg) and Varazdat Lalayan (+110 kg).

The men’s squad will be led by head coach Pashik Alaverdyan, assisted by Hakob Pilosyan.

The women’s team includes Anna Amroyan (77 kg). The team is headed by Artashes Nersisyan, with Taron Tovmasyan as coach.

Team doctor David Mosinyan and kinesiologist Roza Hovhannisyan will also travel to Norway with the delegation.
